Teaching
Philosophy
Every student must have the same opportunities when in class. In my teaching, I challenge the deficit model of education and integrate norms of equitable methods, evidence-driven approaches, innovative curricula, team-building and open discussions as a part of my classroom. We all understand from our experiences that teachers and mentors shape the future trajectories of students. Thus, I want and strive to ensure a classroom where, besides fostering curiosity, creativity, knowledge, bold questioning, and dialogue, I pass on community values and responsibilities of inclusion. My teaching philosophy is insightful understanding of classrooms and students, and creating an impactful and safe space where every student belongs and thrives in pursuit of knowledge.
